"Painting in an Hour" Workshop

I am currently preparing a "Painting in an Hour" workshop that I will be teaching at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, MA. on Monday April 26 and Thursday June 10. Here is the "blurb" that will be in the Spring brochure. Sign up early! Spaces are going quickly!

"Hot Sand"

The practice of creating a painting from start to finish in one hour, teaches you how to think more spontaneously and produce more lively and intuitive work. It helps simplify the process, and you are able to “say a lot with little”. Generous, quick, well placed strokes will give you fresher, simpler, more effective paintings

A one hour demo (with chatting)

followed by a one hour painting session.

Garden Club Gift

Yesterday at our first Garden Club meeting of the season I was presented with these beautiful flowers in honor of my 60th birthday! I was so taken by the gesture that I came home, plunked them into an antique French wine cooler in my studio and did this painting in less than an hour. The all white flowers with just a touch of pink say everything about this time of year. Winter still holds court, but spring is not far away!
